Miss K,
I have to tell you that I am very proud of you for publishing so personal a post. As a person who also struggles from "the poverty of inconvenience" I have to ask you,"Would you have it any other way?" I know your family and you truly are the most amazing and blessed people I know. I believe that part of the amazing nature of you all is your ability towards generosity in your want. I know that for us we were never so happy in our plethora as we remain in our want. We love you guys!

We did our best and it was good, and when we were done, God stepped in and said, “OK, children, if you’re done now, Father knows best.”

What a great quote, J.C.! I'll have to remember that one!

Nadja:

My husband has told our children so many times that he's "the richest man on earth!" And he means it...our children are blessed and so are we!

What an amazing post!! Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful blessings. What a wonderful depth of faith you are passing on to your children. I have often wondered as you have, why us? We are so fortunate to have suffered only occasional deprivations (which in retrospect were so important in our spiritual formation, true blessings in disguise), when others suffer true poverty and tragedy. It is so important to pray for our husbands, who often feel personally responsible or some degree of failure, when it is really God who ordains these things. Our recent experiences have only confirmed how God works His divine providence in everything. We have experienced many blessings lately, and the most "obvious" blessings were the ones that were beyond our capabilities. We did our best and it was good, and when we were done, God stepped in and said, "OK, children, if you're done now, Father knows best." Thanks again, Miss Kimberly!
