Our sweet Abigail’s First Holy Communion…graciously thanking all those who prayed for our dear girl. Few words…the pictures tell all:

“Hidden God, devoutly I adore Thee, truly present beneath these veils: all my heart subdues itself before Thee, since all before Thee faints and fails.”
– Adoro Te Devote
Blessings,

I am a traditional Catholic homeschooling mother of 9 children, married for 30 years to the most patient and sainted man. As converts to Catholicism in 1991, our family has only recently discovered the beauty and full expression of our beliefs in the timeless liturgy of antiquity, the Extraordinary Form also commonly referred to as the Traditional Latin Mass. An avid knitter, I also enjoy gardening, reading and immersing myself in the everyday graces of my vocation.

PS: Your church is gorgeous too!!
So very pretty. Congratulations!!!
I am so happy for her! What a lovely FHC!
Beautiful. I found it wonderful to see her escorted by Authur to receive our Savior. I’ve never seen such a thing. It makes it so individual. A perfect way for a princess to be introduced to and to receive her King. What a special day. May the joy of it last always.
What a blessed event! I’m glad every thing went well — I was worried mid-week with no word from you. You have a beautiful family, Kimberly. Our red-headed boys could be brothers — same head of hair!
She’s so beautiful! What a happy day!
Thanking all of you for your good wishes, prayers and kind comments. Charlotte was even happier today receiving her Lord…her 2nd Holy Communion was a lot less stressful than the first! Such beautiful memories…
your daughter looks so pretty in the dress i love the veil um could somebody email me some advice my daughter makes her first commuion may of 2010 and she does not make commuion until afternoon should i leave her in jeans and top until it is time for her to change please respond back please and how long did it take to get daughter dressed
Thank you for your kind compliments! And congratulations on your daughter’s impending First Holy Communion. Of course, you should leave her in comfortable clothing until she needs to leave for the Church. It took no more than 20 – 30 minutes to dress, fix her hair and put on stockings and shoes. Little ones are pretty quick about getting ready, particularly when they’re excited! May your daughter’s First Holy Communion be a time of beautiful memories and may she grow ever closer to Jesus…
